Eight Things Couples Need in Recovery and Why Your Goals are Causing You to Fail

Eight Things Couples Need in Recovery and Why Your Goals are Causing You to Fail

Dr. Adam Moore, LMFT

When couples begin the process of recovery from one partner’s pornography addiction, many struggle to make progress. Couples often find themselves stuck and don’t know what to do next. In this presentation, I will share what years of therapy experience have taught me about what actually works. We will discuss why the nature of goal setting can get in the way of succeeding in recovery, and why processes are better than goals. I will share an example of an eight-item process that you can start using today to get unstuck.

This presentation was given at the UCAP Conference SLC 2017.
