Raising Strong Kids in a Porn Culture

It can be discouraging raising children and teens in a culture where they are bombarded with overtly sexual imagery, including pornography. However, we don’t need to be scared. We just need to be prepared!

We will discuss small, simple habits and conversations to build resilience in our children and teens. Critical to building this resiliency is showing our kids how to fill their physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social “accounts” with positive experiences, teaching them how to understand media, and teaching them how to navigate our tech-saturated world.

Just as essential is teaching our kids what real, sexual intimacy is all about. And just like good health isn’t just about avoiding junk food, rising above a pornified culture is much more than just knowing what to avoid. It’s time to inspire our children to stand up, speak out, and be strong!
