Recovery is Real and Possible! If I Can Live in Recovery One Day at a Time, Anyone Can!

Eva Calvillo Gordon

Working my own recovery has been vital to my peace of mind and serenity. I will share my journey of recovery from my own addiction and from betrayal trauma, and what I have learned along the way. I will share how the 12 step recovery meetings were and still are the steps for me to move form feeling “crazy” and “not good enough” to reasonably happy, good enough and normal. I will talk about the surrender process, working steps 1, 2 and 3 constantly. Also, I will share how addiction and betrayal trauma affected me and my family. I am excited to share how recovery and healing are so real and reachable to those who are willing to work their own recovery!

Eva Calvillo Gordon is a single mom of four energetic children. While fighting already the enormous uphill battle of motherhood she is one of the happiest and strongest people. Eva loves to run half marathons and 5K. She loves God and Jesus Christ and is not ashamed or afraid to rejoice in them! Rather than drowning under so much responsibility she loves to attend 12 step recovery meeting, where she has learned to swim beautifully, (surrender to God). She embodies joy. Eva is reasonably happy and working her own recovery one day a time. She has a degree in accounting from Utah Valley University and plans to get a masters in Social Work.
