Attachment Trauma and Sex Addiction

This workshop explores how early attachment trauma contributes to the development of compulsive sexual behavior. Using a simplified framework, participants will examine how wounds of violation and neglect shape core beliefs, emotional regulation, and adult relational patterns. The session integrates a trauma informed approach with attachment theory to approach sexual addiction as a coping strategy rooted in trauma and unmet needs. Attendees will gain insight as to when to refer out as well as tools for healing through, validated trauma techniques, self-parenting, empathy development, and navigating relational conflict.
