Lizeth Hernandez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Utah after graduating with a bachelor’s in social work from Brigham Young University. Lizeth started her journey with Family Services for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints in 2011, working with the sexual abuse treatment team. She has worked with problematic sexual behavior with youth and adults. She is involved in several professional organizations, including being an active board member to prevent and treat problematic sexual behavior.
Lizeth loves being a mom and spending time with her husband and five kids. In her free time, she plays soccer and runs.

Raising teens in a culture where social media is the primary source of communication can be overwhelming. Understanding the impact of social media on youth can help us be better prepared to protect them. We will discuss the impact of sextortion on youth and help parents be aware of and recognize signs of grooming. Identify healthy boundaries and provide life resources to prepare a media safety plan. We live in a world that has become sexually saturated. It is essential to empower adolescents with appropriate information to keep them safe and to inspire them to stand up, speak out, and be resilient.
