The Fundamental Reason Porn is Wrong

The Fundamental Reason Porn is Wrong

Matt Fradd, Author of The Porn Myth

The human person is a good towards which the only proper attitude is love. While pornography has many negative consequences (it can be addictive, it can lead to sexual violence, children are often exposed to it, etc.) that ought to be addressed, we cannot forget the fundamental reason it is wrong: it reduces people to things to be used, instead of treating them as persons with intrinsic dignity and unalienable rights.

Matt Fradd experienced a profound conversion at World Youth Day in Rome in 2000 and afterwards committed himself to inviting others to know Jesus Christ and the Church Christ founded. Matt speaks to about 50,000 people every year and has been a guest on BBC, EWTN, ABC, and Catholic Answer Live. He is the found of The Porn Effect (www.theporneffect.com) a site dedicated to exposing the reality behind the fantasy of porn and offering to help those who seek sexual freedom.
