Betrayal Trauma, Hope and Healing: How Do I Find My Way Out?

Betrayal Trauma, Hope and Healing: How Do I Find My Way Out?

Sherie Adams Christensen

Note: Class is suitable for those experiencing, as well as those seeking to understand and support, Betrayal Trauma.

Will I ever feel happy again? Am I going crazy? Is it possible to stop obsessing, controlling, and feeling controlled by my spouse’s addiction? What do I do now? In this class you will learn about betrayal trauma and its connection to PTSD. Learn what PTSD symptoms are, and discover that you’re responding in a perfectly normal way to your circumstances. Come learn how to begin listening to your intuition again. Practice exercises to ground and center yourself, providing you with serenity at any time, regardless of your external circumstances. This gives you a greater capacity to make healthy decisions for yourself, and provides relief from pain and trauma. The class will also help you recognize common response patterns to betrayal trauma and potentially flawed belief systems. You will learn ways to shift into healthier patterns to avoid pitfalls that inhibit healing. Learn concrete recovery skills, such as detaching with love, and setting boundaries, that can provide hope and support for healing. Participants will also leave with a list of resources that will provide hope and support for continued healing.
